يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِن يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ
O you who have believed, when the call to prayer is made on the day of Jumu'ah, proceed immediately to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. (Quran 62:9)
Lesson for Corps Members
Friday is the 'Sayyid al-Ayyam' (master of all days). Among the Sunnah acts: perform ghusl (bath), wear clean/best clothes, use miswak, apply perfume (men only), read Surah al-Kahf, send abundant salawat (prayers) upon the Prophet, make du'a especially in the last hour before Maghrib, go early to the masjid, and listen attentively to the khutbah.

The hidden hour (Sa'ah al-Khafiyyah): The Prophet mentioned a hidden hour on Friday when du'a is accepted. Most scholars identify it as the last hour before Maghrib. Make it a habit to make sincere du'a at this time every Friday.
